Our Patriots were part of history today! 🇺🇸

We are incredibly proud of our Patriot Choir members who had the honor of performing at today’s historic SpaceX announcement in Abbeville!

Today marked an incredible moment for Vermilion Parish and the state of Louisiana as plans were announced for Starbase, Louisiana.🚀

What an unforgettable opportunity for our students—to lend their voices to a moment that will be remembered in our community for generations to come.

Our Art 1 students are already filling the halls with color! Students explored line, shape, color, and watercolor techniques to create these unique abstract compositions. We love seeing how the same assignment can result in so many completely different works of art! Creativity looks different for everyone and that’s the point!!

Art is a process - and we’re catching it from the beginning! NVHS Art III students began their latest mosaic pieces by working from enlarged photographs. Using a pencil-transfer technique, students traced key details from their images onto poster-sized paper to create the foundation for their designs. These photos capture Phase 1. Stay tuned as we showcase the next steps and watch these works of art come to life!

Students in Ms. Ava's DE English took ownership of their class expectations! They began by brainstorming individually in their journals, then worked in groups of four to compare ideas. As a class, they narrowed their thinking to the five most important characteristics of a successful DE student and created an anchor chart that everyone signed.

Freshmen in Ms. Alexa’s Environmental Science class kicked off the year exploring science through hands-on phenomena stations! Students observed, questioned, and made connections between everyday phenomena and the environmental science concepts they’ll investigate throughout the year.

From pavement to masterpieces! Seniors have officially put their mark on NVHS with their finished painted parking spots. Each design is unique, creative, and full of personality - making our parking lot a little more colorful and a lot more senior!! Check out some of the finished creations!!
