The STAR Renaissance Assessment is a short online reading and math assessment that helps us understand what students already know, what skills they're ready to learn next, and where additional support may be needed. Unlike traditional tests, STAR assessments adapt to each student's responses, providing an accurate picture of current skill levels. 🎯
Why does STAR matter?
✅ Measures academic growth throughout the school year
✅ Helps teachers identify strengths and areas for support
✅ Assists in setting personalized learning goals
✅ Provides valuable information for instructional and academic planning
The good news? 🎉 STAR is not a test you can cram for the night before. The best preparation is simply participating in your courses, completing assignments, practicing your skills, and trying your best on test day.
⏰ STAR assessments are brief, and students should plan for about an hour to complete testing.
