Long before a child says their first word, they’re building the skills they’ll need to communicate! Pointing and gestures, sharing attention, imitating, and taking turns are all important pieces of early communication.

That’s why we celebrate the little moments!

Speech and language are often used interchangeably, but they’re actually two different parts of communication! 💬

🗣️ **Speech** is *how* we say sounds and words, like pronunciation, clarity, and fluency.

💭 **Language** is *how we understand and use words* to communicate, like following directions, putting words together, asking for help, and expressing wants and needs.

Both skills develop together and play an important role in helping little ones connect with the world around them. 💙

At Tiny Feet, we support families through everyday routines and play to help children build the skills they need to communicate, connect, and grow!
