Carol Abbott, is a private vocal instructor. Over the past 23 years, she has held a six-year teaching position in the music department at Southeastern University in Lakeland; several director of music positions leading choirs, vocal ensembles, bands, and directing full-scale musical productions in local churches, was the director of One Voice community youth and children’s choir and has served as

an adjunct vocal instructor at Hillsborough Community College in Ybor City, where she also led the College Concert Choir and Select ensemble. While at Southeastern she was able to lead her women's choir, Virtue, on a 10-day tour of Mexico performing nightly in Spanish. She's also toured as a solo artist throughout the southeast U.S. and has been a guest artist on several Christian television networks. In 1991 Carol received a prestigious award at a national Christian vocal competition held in Estes Park, Colorado. One of Carol's career highlights was being the featured artist at a series of Christmas performances in Calcutta, India in 2007. Carol has a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Florida and a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the University of South Florida. Carol and her husband Court have been married for 29 years and live in Brandon, Florida and have two children, Tyler, age 21; a sophomore in College and Emilie, age 17, a high school senior.
