We would like to say the band did great today regardless of the outcome, and we are very proud of everything these students have accomplished so far this season! While we did not get the results we were working for, it doesn't change how far these students have come and where we can go as a band.

Special Thanks and shout out to all of the parents who have helped move equipment and props, pull the trailer, and generally just support what we have been doing this season!

Thank you to our amazing administration: Dr. David Segers, Mrs. Kayla Harrell, and Mrs. Lisa Hudgeons for coming out to support us today and bringing along the 6th and 7th grade band students to watch!

Thank you to ALL of the community members who came and supported us in person or live-streamed the performance. As we have said before, it takes a village and this is a great village to be a part of!

The Maud Cardinal Marching Band had a very successful rehearsal this evening with our show writer, Mr. Kenny Goodson! He really helped us as we are gearing up for our contest this Saturday, and UIL next Wednesday.

We are very thankful for everything he has done to help this program. ❤️

Bandtober Update! We have added the Mount Pleasant Invitational to have one more contest run before UIL!
To keep as much daylight during after school rehearsals, we are going back to 5-7 pm!

Unfortunately, we are going to have to cancel the 2026 Four States Marching Classic. This decision was necessary for the safety of our participating bands who were planning to travel today. We also have to consider the well-being of our wonderful TISD maintenance workers, security, custodians, judges, and contest volunteers. Sometimes, this weather is hard to predict, but we are grateful for all bands, vendors, and spectators who were planning to join us today! We'll hope and pray for better weather next year. Save the date for Saturday, October 2nd, 2027!

***October 1st Update***

The Four States Marching Classic will only be a preliminary round this year, regardless of the weather outcome on Saturday. Our contest workers and volunteers are preparing for potential weather delays, and we need to ensure our participating bands have the opportunity to perform their show for our judges without worrying about a late-night Finals round. Most of the performing times have shifted back by 15 minutes.

We will continue to actively monitor the weather today and tomorrow. If the weather forecast chances strengthen or remain consistent throughout the entirety of Saturday, we will announce a cancellation early tomorrow afternoon. Emails have been sent out to participating directors.

Thank you all for your patience with the planning of our competition this year! Our hope is that the weather lightens up on Saturday for all of our participating bands to put on their performances!
