The Regional Office of Education #11 is open today and ready to serve our community.

If any residents, families, or workers are in need of bottled water, food, hygiene kits, or a place to charge electronic devices, please stop by between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Additionally, ROE #11 staff will be out in the community delivering lunch to cleanup crews, law enforcement, and all those working hard to restore our town. Our good friends at Chick-fil-A Mattoon are donating sandwiches and Charleston Rural King has donated plenty of water.

Most importantly, if you or someone you know has been displaced by last night’s storm and has children in need of temporary housing, please contact our office immediately. We are here to help.

📣 EFE-340 is looking for a local website designer/developer!

We are interested in creating a new website for our Education for Employment (EFE-340) office that highlights our Career & Technical Education programs, regional opportunities, and resources for students, parents, schools, and community members.

We're looking for someone local who can:�✅ Design and build a professional, easy-to-navigate website�✅ Help organize content and resources�✅ Provide occasional updates throughout the year (approximately 2-3 times annually)

🛠️✨ We LOVE getting the chance to celebrate the amazing work happening in our local CTE programs! ✨🛠️

Mr. Bennett from Paris Cooperative High School recently shared these incredible student projects from this year’s shop classes, and we couldn’t wait to show them off! 👏

From custom furniture builds to hands-on specialty projects, these students have been creating some truly impressive work while building real-world skills along the way. 🔨🪵

This year’s projects included:

What an incredible year for our EFE-340 Health Occupations students! 🩺🎉

Last night, we celebrated students from across our region who officially earned their CNA Certification - and this year truly set a new standard.

From start to finish, this has been a year of excellence:

✅ 100% CNA Exam Pass Rate at EVERY location
✅ ACE Visits from IDPH at EVERY location with ZERO citations, leading to our instructors being recognized at the Annual CNA Conference in Springfield
✅ Celebrating 45 years of Health Occupations excellence

A special thank you to Horizon Health and Christina Hodgson for presenting our Paris students with graduation cords to proudly wear during commencement ceremonies. ❤️

We are also proud to recognize three outstanding students who earned the Sarah Bush Lincoln Scholarship for the The Gail & Richard Lumpkin School of Nursing at EIU - a last-dollar scholarship that covers the remaining cost of attendance or provides up to $2,000 depending on other financial aid awarded:
