Across more than 30 years as an academic counselor, Bryan served as a coach beyond the court, helping thousands of student athletes complete their goals and achieve their dream careers.

The stories of our alumni are part of what makes Lake Land College special. As we celebrate 60 years, we’re proud to share stories like Dr. Rebecca Dunn’s and the impact she has made on generations of patients in her community.

"I have patients I started seeing when they were three years old who are now bringing their three-year-olds. It makes me feel good that they still want to come and see Dr. Becky" - Dr. Rebecca Dunn.

In 1981, Rebecca began her dental journey by enrolling in Lake Land College's dental hygiene program. Today, she serves the Edwardsville community with a private dental practice that has spanned generations.

One thoughtful gift can create opportunities for generations of students.

For Leslie Hill and her family, giving back to Lake Land College became an important way to support future students. Through planned giving, two scholarships were established: the Fern Hill Practical Nursing Endowed Scholarship and the Hill-Hortenstine Agriculture Scholarship Endowment.

These gifts will continue creating opportunities for future Lake Land College students pursuing careers in nursing and agriculture for years to come.

Their story is a reminder that an estate plan can do more than provide for the future. It can create opportunities and make a lasting impact on generations of students.

The Lake Land College Foundation is excited to announce the establishment of the Northside Ford Lincoln Auto Scholarship!

Thanks to the generosity of Northside Ford Lincoln, this $1,000 scholarship will provide financial assistance to Lake Land College students from Effingham County, with preference given to students pursuing a business or automotive degree.

We are grateful to Jake Traub, General Manager, and the entire Northside Ford Lincoln team for investing in our students and helping drive their futures forward!

Our history is built by the people who have called Lake Land College home. As we celebrate 60 years, we’re honored to share stories like Roberta Hollada’s and the lasting impact she and her husband, Bill, had on LLC.

"I always say live life to the fullest, so you never look back wishing you had done this or that, but I honestly don't know where the time went" - Roberta Hollada.

In 1968, Roberta and her husband Bill both landed faculty positions at Lake Land College, then a brand-new community college spread across 16 buildings in Mattoon. Over the years, the two watched the College grow and helped build a legacy of excellence still found today.
