It has been a very exciting Fall season for Sam. She is playing for the Chaos squad and also is on the Missfit team. All of the coaches and the families from both teams have been tremendously supportive in this process. Double the practices, tournaments and conditioning has been a challenge. But Sam has already grown a ton. The Missfits battled this weekend in the gold bracket of a DC tournament and in the Championship Game, Sam had the opportunity to contribute to the squad. Bottom of the last inning down 5-2 with the bases loaded she smoked a ball over the left fielder and cleared the bases with a double. The Missfits ended up wining 6-5. All around team effort throughout the whole day. While the result is awesome, the process is worth highlighting. Just last week Sam was really frustrated with her hitting. At the point of being in tears and it affected her pitching and enjoyment. We had some conversations, and then got back to work. She shifted her approach and was not as attached to the results. The win is great but the lesson learned is way more important. &23

Entrepreneurship is one of the few journeys where there isn't a roadmap.

Every decision carries risk. Every setback teaches a lesson. Every success creates a new challenge. While experience is one of the greatest teachers, it can also be one of the most expensive.

One of the biggest misconceptions I see is that successful entrepreneurs have all the answers. The reality is, the best leaders ask better questions, seek outside perspective, and never stop growing.

A business coach doesn't have your vision—they help you see it more clearly. They help you avoid unnecessary mistakes, strengthen your leadership, challenge your blind spots, and build a business that doesn't depend on you being involved in every decision.

5 tournaments so far and we have reached 5 finals. Last weekend the girls won the lowest bracket. Rough morning led to a great afternoon. This last weekend the girls made it to the finals of the gold bracket. Went 4-1 on the day and went back to back to back in bracket play without a break. Very proud of how everyone stepped up for each other with a couple of minor injuries and fatigue. But more importantly we are growing and learning. I bet you can pick my daughter out in the team pic as the only one not smiling. I love her drive AND I think we are finally realizing softball and life is not only measured in wins and losses. Sometimes the most growth comes from losing, reflecting and coming back better. It’s a privilege to coach these girls and I do not take it lightly.
