Every month at Socrates Academy, we recognize and celebrate scholars who demonstrate a key value that is central to our school and its legacy.

For the month of September, this value is φιλότιμο (philotimo). While there is no exact equivalent in the English language, a close approximation is a “love of honor”.

Today, Kyria Maria helped explain what philotimo means! Scholars who received nomination for Owl of the Month: your certificates (and goodies) will be reaching you soon!
