The grief of a broken marriage doesn't just go away.

Maybe you're still in the thick of it β€” the decisions, the loneliness, the fear of what comes next.

Or maybe it's been years. You've kept going. But there are still places in your heart that ache, and you're not sure anyone really understands that.

You are not alone. And you don't have to keep carrying this by yourself.

On Saturday, July 11th, we invite you to the RESTORATION Retreat β€” a warm, prayerful day created specifically for those navigating separation, divorce, or the painful uncertainty surrounding their marriage.

Sponsored by the Diocese of Madison and Abounding Joy Ministry.

This isn't a lecture.
It isn't a place where you'll be judged or forced to share.

It's simply a place to rest β€” and find some joy.

A place to bring your questions, your pain, your fears, and your hopes before Christ. Together we'll spend the day in prayer, reflection, teaching, and community.

IN-PERSON OR ONLINE (Registration required)

✦ Opening spiritual reflection by Bishop Donald Hying
✦ 9:00 am Mass | 10:00 am–4:30 pm Retreat (CDT)

β€œWhat if God still wants to heal this part of your life?”

Grateful to Joe Reciniello and Joe Pacillo of The Front Line with Joe and Joe on Veritas Catholic Network for a thoughtful and honest conversation about separation, divorce, healing, and the hope Christ offers through authentic Catholic accompaniment and community.

Joe and Joe were passionate hosts who helped create a real conversation about the wounds many carry quietly, the healing power of God, and the importance of reminding people that they are not alone.

If you or someone you know is navigating separation or divorce, we hope this conversation offers encouragement and hope.

Why So Many Divorced Catholics Fall Away from the Faith β€” And How We Can Respond 05/15/2026

On Part II of the π˜“π˜ͺ𝘷π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨 𝘒 𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘡𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 π˜“π˜ͺ𝘧𝘦 podcast from Human Life International, Colleen Maxwell and I had a powerful and much-needed conversation about the silent exodus hollowing out our pews and our families.

We discussed the annulment process, why so many divorced Catholics fall away from the faith, and how the Church can respond with both truth and compassion.

So many people are carrying deep wounds, confusion, and isolation. If we want to help bring them home, we have to be willing to walk with those in pain while speaking the truth with mercy, clarity, and love.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of this discussion.

Catholic Marriage Crisis: How to Save Your Marriage (Reaching Couples Before Divorce) 05/09/2026

I’m grateful to have joined Human Life International
and Colleen Maxwell on the β€œLiving a Culture of Life” podcast for Part I of our conversation: β€œCatholic Marriage Crisis: How to Save Your Marriage (Reaching Couples Before Divorce)."

We explored some of the real challenges Catholic marriages are facing today, common misconceptions about marriage and divorce, the beauty of sacramental marriage, and practical ways couples can begin to rebuild trust, strengthen communication, and grow in faith together.

Thank you, Colleen, for the thoughtful conversation and for your faithful work in promoting a true culture of life and family.
