My favorite thing about building a homeschool plan is including topics that the parents or kids are excited about!
We have a backyard garden as part of our homeschool. We’ve done lots of seed experiments, learned about weeds and fertilizer.. it’s been an adventure!
We’ve studied Greek and Latin, Ancient Civilizations, and mummified a chicken!
We have opportunities to explore and that’s the secret sauce to creating lifelong learners. What does your family want to explore?

Are you drowning in packets sent home by your child's school? Is it a struggle every day to "get school done"? Do you feel like you're slogging through a lot of busy work?
I happy to tell you that homeschool is NOT recreating school at home. Its a different education system that is tailored to the needs of your family. Its totally fine if you don't "do school" on the school schedule. Homeschool provides families time to connect and enjoy learning new things together. It might happen on a walk to the park or when your kid gets curious about how oxygen travels through the body. Maybe you discuss economics when you get a new table, or root systems when you need to move a bush in the yard. With a few resources you can teach your child anything! Learning happens so much more organically when the kids are asking the questions. I have learned a ton about jelly fish, dragons, fungus, and archipelagos around the world because a kid asked me a good question! It brings me so much joy to learn along side my kids. I don't have to know all the things to teach my kids, I just have to be willing to learn with them.
The most valuable thing I have ever taught my children is to love learning. The second is, how to learn! I love to see them get excited about a topic and dive in. This motivates reading and math and science skills! I don't have to teach that! They want to know it and it just happens. They try things that don't work, and learn from that!
I'd love to tell you more about how homeschooling can work for your family. Message me to set up a time for a free chat.

Your family is unique!
You have lots of personalities, ages, needs, abilities, and lifestyle choices. That’s great! Homeschool allows you to build an education system to FIT YOUR FAMILY instead of trying to make your family fit a standard system.
I have homeschooled my own kids in four states, through a divorce, with learning challenges, and now as a single, working parent. It takes a bit of experience to get it right. We’ve used lots of different methods over the years to fit the need of our family at the time. Homeschooling has provided opportunities we could not have enjoyed otherwise, and for that I will be forever grateful!
I’ve worked with families who have parents working from home and families living abroad! I see each family as a unique puzzle. I enjoy learning about the individual pieces and what they need to be successful. From learning challenges to strong personalities, working around nap times to compressed schedules, it can work with the right plan in place! Summer can be a great time to “test it out” and see what works for you and maybe what doesn’t.
Homeschool is always a little messy, but the rewards are priceless. Let’s find out what your family wants and needs to start your homeschool journey. What do the parents need?? What do the kids want? Who decides homeschool requirements? How much does it cost? I’m here to help you navigate these questions and more!
Let’s start with a free consult and go from there! I won’t be offended if you decide you really aren’t cut out to homeschool, but I think you’ll find you’re more capible than you know!
