With Open House scheduled for Thursday, August 20, and teachers returning next week for meetings and preparation, we are in need of volunteers to assist with the operational aspects of preparing for the new school year.

While this work typically falls under the scope of our "Helping Hands" team, we are seeking additional volunteers available on Tuesday, August 18 and/or Wednesday, August 19, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Our Helping Hands volunteer lead, Maria Dorn, will be on-site on August 18; however, additional support is needed to meet the demands of both days.

If you are able to assist on either date, please email [email protected] so that we can coordinate logistics and establish a group communication for volunteers.

This opportunity is well-suited for high school students, college students (who are still in town), empty nesters, community members, and any MHES parent or guardian with availability. We understand this is a particularly busy time of year, and we sincerely appreciate any support you are able to provide. Please email us at your earliest convenience so we may plan accordingly.

MHESPTA

Open to Pre-K, kindergarten, and new MHES families.

Join us for "Coffee & a Chat" on Friday, August 28 (8:00 - 9:00 a.m.) for a relaxed morning to meet other parents and family members, build connections with your new school community, and swap notes on your experience as a new MHES family.

Administrators (alongside other available staff members) will be on hand too, so bring your questions. And we'll provide coffee and light refreshments.

We're a week out from Open House at Mint Hill Elementary School. Stop on by between 5 and 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 20. Meet your student's teacher, drop off school supplies, visit the PTA table, and more.

Help us keep the teacher breakroom filled from the first week of school through the end of September.
