🎬 MOTHER NATURE HAD OTHER PLANS! 🍿

We were so excited to gather under the stars tonight for our 10th Annual Backyard Bonanza Family Movie Night, but unfortunately, due to today’s weather conditions, we have made the difficult decision to CANCEL tonight’s event.

After 10 years of this special TOL tradition, we’re definitely disappointed—but the safety and comfort of our children, families, staff, and volunteers will always come first. ❤️

✨ But don’t put those lawn chairs and blankets away just yet! We are looking at the possibility of a rescheduled date so we can still enjoy some Lights… Camera… FAMILY FUN! ✨

Thank you to everyone who planned to join us and continues to support the traditions and memories we create together year after year.

✨💚A Little Reminder for My Fellow Family Child Care Educators…💚✨

The work we do is meaningful. We open our homes, pour into young children, support families, create learning experiences, manage businesses, and give so much of ourselves along the way.

But while we advocate for the children in our care, sometimes we need a reminder to advocate for ourselves, too.

✨ We deserve respect.
✨ Our time and boundaries matter.
✨ Our work has value.
✨ Rest is necessary.
✨ And we should never feel guilty for recognizing our worth as professionals.

This is a simple reminder for all of us who have chosen this incredible profession.

Save it. Print it. Post it in your program. Share it with another educator who may need the reminder; caring for and educating others should never mean forgetting to value ourselves.

🛼 That’s a Wrap on the Summer Skate Party Series! 🛼

Today we rolled into Tinley Park Roller Rink for the final day of their Summer Skate Party Series!

It was another wonderful day filled with FUN, LAUGHTER, FOOD, MUSIC, and plenty of TOL memories being made!

Our young learners enjoyed skating, spending time with friends, and making the most of another exciting Summer Adventures outing.

From the first roll to the last, the Summer Skate Party Series has been all about having fun, trying new things, and making memories together! 🌞🛼🎶

🐻 A Storybook Adventure Comes to Life! 🐻

Our young learners enjoyed a wonderful field trip to the Beverly Arts Center to see Goldilocks and the Three Bears, presented by the Chicago Kids Company! ✨

The children loved watching this familiar story come alive on stage through music, colorful characters, laughter, and lots of theatrical fun. Experiences like this encourage imagination, strengthen listening and comprehension skills, and introduce our young learners to the excitement of live theater.

After the show, we continued the learning with our very own Goldilocks and the Three Bears finger puppets, giving the children an opportunity to color, create, retell the story, and put on their own little puppet shows!

Another fun-filled learning adventure and special summer memory made with our TOL Summer Adventurers! 😊

✨🛼 Another Day of Skating Fun! 🛼✨

Our young athletes enjoyed another exciting day at Tinley Park Roller Rink as part of our Spectacular Sports Summer Adventures!

The children had so much fun skating, dancing to kid-friendly music, cheering on their friends, and building confidence with every lap around the rink. It’s always exciting to watch them step outside their comfort zones, try something new, and celebrate their progress—one roll, wobble, and smile at a time!

Another fun-filled day of movement, laughter, and unforgettable memories with our TOL friends! 😊

🎉 CELEBRATING 15 YEARS OF TOUCH OF LOVE BY JL! 🎉

What started as a vision has grown into 15 years of love, learning, laughter, growth, traditions, and unforgettable memories! ✨

This year, I am incredibly proud to celebrate 15 years of operating my Family Child Care Home and serving children and families through Touch Of Love by JL Educational Academy!

But my journey in Early Childhood Education began long before Touch Of Love by JL opened its doors. I have been working in the field of Early Childhood Education since 1997—nearly 30 years of nurturing, teaching, guiding, loving, and advocating for young children.

Over the years, I have watched babies learn to crawl, toddlers find their voices, preschoolers prepare for kindergarten, and former students grow into amazing young people. I have welcomed siblings, watched families grow, celebrated milestones, created traditions, planned countless educational opportunities, and built relationships that have lasted far beyond a child’s final day in my program.

Touch Of Love has never been “just childcare” to me. ☺️

It has always been about creating a place where children feel safe, loved, valued, encouraged, and excited to learn—a place where childhood memories are made and families become part of the TOL story.

There have been long days, challenging seasons, lessons learned, tears shed, plenty of laughter, and moments that reminded me exactly why I chose this work. Through every chapter, one thing has remained the same: my love for children and my commitment to providing quality care and meaningful experiences.

To every family who has trusted me with your most precious gift—THANK YOU. 💕 Whether you were with me for a few months, several years, or returned with another generation of little ones, you are forever part of the Touch Of Love By JL family and legacy.

There is something truly special about watching the children who once walked through the doors of Touch Of Love by JL grow, mature, and thrive. This young lady and her family will always hold a special place in TOL history as our very FIRST enrollment family! 🤩

It is amazing to see Amya now, growing into a beautiful young lady and doing what she loves. Moments like this remind me that the work we do in early childhood reaches far beyond the years children spend in our care. Watching our TOL alumni continue to grow and shine is such a joy!✨

There’s something so special about watching children step outside their comfort zones and try something new. Whether they were skating independently, holding a friend’s hand, or cheering each other on, every child celebrated their own success!

We love visiting Tinley Park Roller Rink because it’s a child-friendly environment with music that’s always geared toward children, creating the perfect atmosphere for learning, laughter, and lots of fun!

Our little athletes practiced balance, coordination, perseverance, and confidence while making unforgettable memories with their friends.😊✨
