MyC2LP Children’s 2nd Language Is located in Matteson IL and we specialize in educating children in English as well as Spanish!

Children's 2nd Language has been an Academic service to the Chicago public schools since 1991. In a world that has become more internationally connected the need for a second language is a skill that is much needed. This skill will prepare our young students for future career opportunities. The benefits of a second language education, proved by researchers, have been consistent through the years.

These proven facts have inspired Children's 2nd Language to support the efforts of parents and educators who are committed to give the children a successful education. Never before has the demand for bilingual workers and professionals been so great- in the medical, business, education and other fields of work. An early start in learning a second language allows time for the student to develop fluency and greater confidence in all parts of the language development: communication, pronunciation, reading and writing. Learning a second language does not cause language confusion, language delay or cognitive deficit, which have been concerns in the past. In fact, according to studies at the Cornell Language Acquisition Lab (CLAL), children who learn a second language can maintain attention despite outside stimuli better than children who know only one language.

Children’s 2nd Language Academy has helped preschoolers to prepare for first grade with reading and math test scores of 2nd grade level. After 20 years service to the community, we are now responding to the demand of parents who’ve moved out of our community or have been affected by the pandemic but are still interested in the academic advancement of their children. We are now offering virtual classes in French Spanish. Reading Math Science and more. If you would like to enroll please contact us to learn more!

In a response to the stay at home order, the Academy has expanded our curriculum to more children through Zoom classes. We are know as a program that help children reach their highest potential!
The curriculum includes Reading, Math, Science, Spanish and French
We service ages 4 and 5 preparing them for first grade!
