Dear Center School Families,

Just a quick note to let you know that we had a fire drill at school today as part of our regular safety procedures.

We are so proud of our students! Everyone did a great job following the expectations, listening to their teachers, and staying calm and orderly throughout the drill.

A special shout-out to our Project Grow and Kindergarten students for doing such a great job with this new experience! They did an amazing job learning and practicing our safety routines.

Artist Nick Mayer painted this piece as part of a workshop he did teaching children to paint these terrapins at Mattapoisett Center School in MA. Through NECWA's South Coast Terrapin Project, the children raised hatchling Diamondbacks in their classroom and then they released them back into the wild.

If you would like to purchase a print, proceeds go to the Nick Mayer Wildlife Fund, which aims to protect marine life and restore ocean ecosystems by combining the emotional power of art with targeted conservation efforts.

A portion of every purchase from The Giving Back Collection is donated to a specific Conservation Group working to protect that particular creature.
