This week, our Young Achievers Science and Math Pilot School 8th graders presented their culminating portfolios of learning to teachers, staff, and outside judges. Thank you Mass Audubon Boston Nature Center for hosting us! And thank you Ms. Jeri Robinson from the Boston Public Schools for serving as one of many judges from education, philanthropy, and corporations. Students presented artifacts of learning in all core subjects and delivered "Agent of Change" speeches. A great culminating moment as they prepare for high school, college, and career success!

Our Young Achievers Science and Math Pilot School 6th grade scientists headed out to the Appalachian Mountains in New Hampshire today for a 3-day, 2-night science expedition! Students will hike, learn about a new ecosystem, and record observations through our partnership with Appalachian Mountain Club. The trip is part of a year-round "Building a Community of Scientists" Program. Several 7th grade student leaders joined the group to provide peer-to-peer mentoring. Thank you to Eastern Bank for generously sponsoring our program and trip! Boston Public Schools
