Parents,

If you have a 6th , 7th, or 8th grader that has Coach Oliva's Physical Education (PE) class this year, she has created a store where you can purchase a Pre-athletic uniform (shirt and shorts). Please click on the link.

It is NOT mandatory to purchase from the store.

Your child can simply bring any sleeved shirt and shorts. (ALL clothing must follow the Mathis ISD dress code policies. Appropriate footwear is recommended for PE. Crocs, slides, boots, and non-athletic shoes are NOT appropriate for PE.)

Your child does not have to dress-out in PE, but it is recommended for self-hygiene reasons.
Your child will be able to leave their clothes with the coaches to be washed for the next day, if needed.

Clothes will have to be taken home every day and kept in their school backpacks throughout the day.

I highly encourage to bring roll-on deodorant and a small towel for after PE. Please, NO sprays of any kind (other students may have allergies).
Girls will need to have their hair up in a ponytail during PE.
Jackets/hoodies will have to be taken off during PE. Unless the weather calls for a jacket.

Please be aware of the drop off and pick up procedures.

As we begin the first week of school, we kindly ask for your patience as we anticipate heavier than normal traffic during student dismissal at MMS. In order to help ensure the safety of students, staff, and families, please use the center turning lane only while waiting to enter the pickup line. Our safety coordinators and campus staff will be on-site to help direct traffic and assist with dismissal.
Please:
Do not park in or block private residential driveways.
Do not block traffic on the farm road, as it is a heavily traveled roadway.
Follow the designated traffic flow into the campus. There is only one entrance to the MMS campus, as indicated on the map.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work together during student dismissal.
We wish all our students a safe, successful, and wonderful new school year!
