Sam & Claire unite again to cut
“Dog Stars” from the Best Selling novel with the same name. It’s coming out August 28, 2026.

Claire Simpson, who won the Oscar for 'Platoon', cuts Ridley Scott's 'The Dog Stars'.

The film opens August 28 from 20th Century Studios. Simpson cut it with Sam Restivo, from Mark L. Smith's adaptation of Peter Heller's novel. She won the Academy Award for Film Editing for 'Platoon' and was nominated for 'The Constant Gardener'.

After the pandemic that empties the world, the story is Hig, Bangley and a dog. With that few characters the cut lives on faces and on the distance between them.
