Proud of our kiddos

Teg Gleghorn, Kenzi Koepke, and Karis McIntosh represented MC FFA well yesterday at the State Fair of Texas Public Speaking Contest with over 300 contest. Although we didn’t advance, we’re still proud of them for putting in the work to improve!!

3️⃣ Big Reasons Attendance Matters

1️⃣ - The Obvious 🧠- students who are here more learn more. A study completed by Abilene Christian University in July 2026 confirmed positive correlation between high attendance and high scores on STAAR.

2️⃣ - To Stand Out 👀- High attendance helps us earn Distinction Designations in our A-F Accountability every year.

3️⃣ - Funding 💲- Public schools are funded on attendance, not enrollment. If our attendance is 95%, then we miss out on 5% of the revenue the state allots for each student. A school district loses about $45 per student per day when they are absent.
