EXCITING THINGS ARE COMING TO TUSLAW!
We’re proud to share plans for the Future Tuslaw Weight Room — a major upgrade that will impact 350+ student-athletes across ALL sports programs!
This project will transform our current space into a modern, high-performance training facility featuring:
✔️ 14 integrated rack & bench stations
✔️ Full dumbbell sets & lat pulldown stations
✔️ Functional training equipment like kettlebells, bands, medicine balls & more
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We are looking for 14 Legacy Donors to be part of our “Adopt-A-Rack” Campaign.
A $10,000 donation sponsors a professional-grade rack and includes:
- Your family name or business logo permanently displayed on the rack
- A lasting impact on Tuslaw athletics for years to come
This is more than a weight room — it’s an investment in the future strength, growth, and success of our Mustangs.

I thought this already got posted but I am not seeing it show on our profile, so I apologize for the late post!
Back by popular demand, our Matbackers are hosting our annual Flower Sale Fundraiser just in time for Mother's Day and the spring home refresh.
Its not too late to get an order in! Orders can be made with any wrestlers or coaches today and tomorrow still.

With our 2025-2026 Wrestling Season officially coming to a close this weekend, we wanted to be sure we gave credit where credit is due!
While our wrestlers and coaches put in months of hard work followed up with the soundtrack of blood, sweat, and tears on repeat, our season successes would not be possible without the contributions and donations of our community sponsors. It truly means the world to us that our community sees value in our program and continuously shows up for us both financially and physically.
Because of you, we were able to accomplish the following:
• Purchase our competition mats (one customized with our Mustangs Logo),
• Purchase new red/green ankle straps for match use,
• Cover the cost of hotels for overnight tournaments,
• Cover the cost of tickets for the State Tournament for our entire coaching staff (including our volunteers),
• Purchase customize quarter zips for our State Qualifiers,
• Cover the cost of Season Awards/Plaques for our Wrestling Banquet.
On behalf of Tuslaw High School and Middle School Wrestling, THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts! We hope you will continue to follow our program and find value in our mission of success for every boy and girl who steps foot on our mats.

◙ OHSAA 2026 State Tournament | Saturday, March 14th - Sunday, March 15th Synopsis ◙
We began Day #2 of the State Tournament with 3 of our qualifiers still in the fight. The day was split into two sessions. The morning session consisted of the Championship Quarterfinals and Consolations Round 2, while the evening session consisted of the Championship Semifinals and the Consolation Quarterfinals.
■ Morning Session:
Kaden Lawson and Logan Haer both advanced from their Day #1 Championship Preliminary match victories into the Championship Quarterfinals. Kaden Lawson lost a close match (9-8) which moved him into the Consolations bracket. He now had to wrestle again before the break in the Consolations Round 2. Logan Haer won his Quarterfinals match with a score of 5-3 and advanced to the Championship Semifinals where he would wrestle in the evening session.
Chance Grim advanced from his Day #1 into the Consolations Round 2. He unfortunately lost his match in overtime, officially knocking him out of the tournament. Kaden Lawson took the mat again for his Consolation Round 2 match and came out with a close victory by decision of 5-4 as the clock ran out. This victory officially secured him a state placement and advanced him to the evening session where he wrestled in the Consolation Quarterfinals
■ Evening Session:
Logan Haer started us off with his Championship Semifinals match where he came out on top with a win by decision of 9-4. This victory advanced him into Day #3 where he would take the mat to fight for the 157 lbs. State Championship Title! Kaden Lawson wrestled his Consolation Quarterfinals match and unfortunately lost with a final score of 5-3. This advanced him into Day #3 where he would take the mat one final time to battle for 7th Place.
We began the final day of the State Tournament with 2 of our qualifiers still in the fight. The day was again split into two sessions. The morning session consisted of the Placement matches for 7h, 5th, and 3rd place finalists, while the evening session consisted solely of the Championship matches.
Up first, we had Kaden Lawson taking the mat for his final match of not only the 2026 State Wrestling Tournament, but also of his Tuslaw Wresting Career. He pinned for the win in the second period and secured 7th Place for the 132 lbs. weight class. This placement made Kaden a 4X State Placer and secured him the honor of becoming Tuslaw’s first ever Wrestling 4X State Placer! We are all so proud of his accomplishments over the past 4 years and wish him all the best on his future endeavors!
Logan Haer was Tuslaw Wrestling’s first State Finalist since 2017. Unfortunately, Logan lost in his finals match to a returning State Champion. He finished his Sophomore campaign as the 2026 OHSAA State Runner-Up with a season record of 45-3! We are so proud of what he accomplished this season, and look forward to what he will continue to bring to the mat next season!
What a great season for our Mustangs! Time to wrap it up with our Banquet next Thursday, March 26th. If you have not done so already, please complete your RSVP and Payment to the Tuslaw Matbackers.
