Why Attend National 4-H Congress?
National 4-H Congress is considered the capstone leadership experience in 4-H. Delegates will:
Develop advanced leadership and communication skills
Participate in hands-on workshops and educational sessions
Engage in community service projects that make a lasting impact
Explore career readiness and workforce preparation opportunities
Learn about agriculture, environmental stewardship, science, technology, and civic engagement
Experience cultural tours and activities throughout Atlanta
Connect with youth leaders from across the nation
Build confidence, independence, and lifelong friendships
This transformational experience empowers young people to become leaders in their communities and prepares them to be truly Beyond Ready for the future.
Who Can Attend?
Michigan 4-H members who are 14–19 years old are eligible to attend.
National 4-H Congress is designed as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and youth are generally limited to attending one time since the program remains similar from year to year.
While the Michigan State University Extension State 4-H Office coordinates the statewide delegation, counties are responsible for identifying and selecting delegates. Some counties may choose to implement a local application or selection process.

Estimated Cost
Ingham County 4-H Council offers scholarships thanks to the food booth at the fair. The estimated cost is approximately $1,500 per delegate, depending on airfare and final registration expenses. (This will be split into a convenient payment schedule for families).
The registration fee includes:
Round-trip airfare
Conference registration
Hotel accommodations
Most meals
Delegate gift package (shirt, bag, and other items)
Chaperone supervision and support
Delegates should also plan to bring approximately $100 for additional meals, snacks, and souvenirs.
