💛🔗 Building Connections One Link at a Time! 🔗💛

Today, our older preshoolers worked together to create a special classroom paper chain representing the people and relationships that make our community strong and connected. Each link symbolized a friend, family member, teacher, or special person who helps us feel loved, supported, and valued.

As they created, children strengethened important skills such as collaboration, communication, fine-motor development, creativity, and a sense of belonging. Through teamwork and meaningful conversations, they discovered how every person plays an important role in making our classroom community a wonderful place to learn and grow.💛🧡💚💙

Our toddlers have been hard at work strengthening their fine motor skills with Play-Doh and stencils! 💚 Little hands were busy rolling, pressing, and pinching all while building the hand strength and coordination needed for future writing success. We love watching learning come to life through hands-on play! ✨

Help us celebrate Loreen's 1st anniversary with us at Goddard! Loreen started in 2026 as a Resource teacher and found her home in our Toddler classroom. The love and care she shows or our little ones has been wonderful to watch! We are excited to see what the next years brings for her.

Get ready to discover new adventures, favorite characters, and a love of reading! Our Scholastic Book Fair will be at The Goddard School next week, and we can't wait to share this exciting event with our families.

📖 Book sales begin Monday, September 28th at 6:30 AM!

The Book Fair is a wonderful opportunity to build your child's home library while supporting literacy and a lifelong love of learning. Whether your child enjoys picture books, early readers, or chapter books, there's something for every age and interest!

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
