Creative Tots Preschool Mason Creative Tots is a private Preschool that is geared for children 18 months to 5 years. We focus on education and the fine arts.

We strive to achieve the best as we align our curriculum to incorporate these ideas for your child. Our research-based curriculum provides age-appropriate, high-quality academics designed to exceed the standards. These are derived from the State of Ohio Content Standards for Early Childhood Education, which assures accountability for educational goals in the state of Ohio.

"I DO IT MYSELF!"

Four little words that can turn a 30-second task into a 15-minute adventure. 😂

Putting on shoes? I do it.
Pouring the water? I do it.
Opening the snack? I DO IT MYSELF!

Sound familiar, toddler parents? 🙋‍♀️

As frustrating (and time-consuming!) as this stage can be, that determination is actually a pretty wonderful thing.

Your toddler is learning independence, building confidence, practicing problem-solving, and discovering what they're capable of doing.

And sometimes the best thing we can do is give them a little space to figure it out. ❤️

In honor of Picture Week, we’re celebrating the memories that photos hold and how special it is to look back and see just how much we’ve grown over the years. 🥹🤍 It’s a sweet reminder of why capturing these little moments matters so much. A little reminder for the parents AND preschool teachers who might need it today. ❤️

Not every activity needs to turn into a masterpiece.
Not every puzzle needs to be finished.
Not every tower needs to stay standing.
And not every child needs to be good at something the first (or fifth 😉) time they try.

Sometimes the learning is in the trying.
The wondering.
The figuring it out.
The "I can't do it" that eventually becomes "I DID IT!"

At Creative Tots Mason, we've spent 20 years watching some pretty incredible things happen in those little in-between moments.

Because play-based learning isn't always neat, easy, or picture-perfect.

And that's kind of the beauty of it. ❤️

Sometimes the words come out before our brains have even caught up. 😂

“Hurry up!”
“Be careful!”
“Calm down!”
“Stop asking why!”

If you live with a toddler or preschooler, chances are you’ve said at least one of those approximately 47 times this week. 🙋‍♀️

So for this week’s Tots-Tober Thursday, we’re not adding another thing to your parenting to-do list.

We’re just sharing a few simple phrases you can tuck away for the moments when your little person is moving at toddler speed, feeling ALL the feelings, or asking “why?” for the 4,982nd time.

Because sometimes a small shift in what we say can help a child understand what to do next, feel understood, and build a little more confidence along the way. ❤️

And a reminder: this isn’t about saying the “perfect” thing every time. We’re all human. It’s simply about having a few more words in our back pocket when we need them.
