💐 My mom, Barbara Anecone, is 87 today and sharing photos of her love of our horses seemed fitting here.
Behind about every horse that entered my life when I was younger my mom could be found cheering me on to "just get the horse" because even way back then she always encouraged us to live our lives and keep on riding and doing what made us happy and to find a way to make it work. Horses made us happy! With her encouragement, and later on my own, we have had a lot of great horses in our lives and will, God willing, for decades to come!
For those who knew my mom waaaay back in the days of her cheering us on at the 4H Fair and beyond, her health has been deteriorating for a while (alzheimers) but she is comfortable and content most of the time. We hope you take a moment to think of her happy, cheering my sister and I on today and later this weekend at the 4H Fair that she loved attending in Westford, MA.
Then, maybe whisper her a happy birthday wherever you are.
