Yesterday marked Week 2 of MEMSPA’s Mentoring and Coaching Certification Training for Teachers in partnership with the Washtenaw County Intermediate School District!

Participants continued building practical tools and confidence to strengthen their work as mentors and coaches—supporting colleagues through reflection, growth, problem-solving, and meaningful professional relationships.

When educators feel supported, they are better equipped to thrive in their roles—and that positive impact reaches students, classrooms, and entire school communities.

Thank you to WISD and this committed group of educators for continuing to invest in leadership, learning, and one another!

August recess is a great time to see Congress at work in your own community.

Many Members of Congress post their community events, school visits, and public appearances online while they're back in their districts. Following their homebase schedules is an easy way to stay informed and see what issues they're discussing with constituents.

If you attend an event this August, share a photo or highlight from your experience and tag NAESP—we'd love to see school leaders engaging in advocacy across the country.
