Welcome back Bulldogs! We are ready for an amazing first day back. Reminder today is a HALF DAY, and is not a late start. The school day starts at 8:40am and on a half day ends at 12:07 PM. Your students are learning brand new routines this year, so it may take some time getting back into the swing of things. Before you know it, they will have it down and ready to go.

Thursday is our first full day and regular school hours are 8:40am-3:47pm

Wed, August 26th-First day of school tomorrow! Here is what to expect:

It is a HALF DAY. The school day will START at 8:40am and END at 12:07pm

The doors open around 8:25am. Your student will then go straight through the doors into the gym to line up with their class. There will be signs on the wall with their teacher's names. Teachers and staff know the first day can be very overwhelming for everyone, but there will be plenty of adults available to help your student get to where they need to be, and have the best first day! Their teachers will then pick them up and walk the whole class to their classroom.

Today's the day!! Open House is from 6-7pm. Stop by the PTO table to sign up for a chance to win a yearbook!!

You can also grab a background check form to fill out. If you finish it, you can bring it to the office with a valid ID to turn in.

Don't Forget! Tomorrow is Steele's Open House from 6-7pm. Kona Ice will be available for purchase during that time. We do ask that you please enjoy it on your way out of the building, instead of on the way in.

At Open House you can meet your student's teacher, drop off any supplies, and see their classroom.

Stop by the PTO Table to sign up for emails for volunteer opportunities, and any event information. If you sign up you will be entered into a drawing for a free yearbook!

All volunteers and chaperons are required to have a background check on file with the district, along with a copy of your photo ID. We plan to have these blank forms available to you to fill out so you can have them ready to go.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow, and throughout the year. Go Bulldogs!

16 more days until school starts! Here are a few reminders and updates:

First - HUGE SHOUT OUT to all of our Teachers and Staff that are getting everything ready for your students to have a fantastic school year. We know how hard they work year round to ensure your student is set up for success. Go Bulldogs!

TEACHER ASSIGNMENTS will be available on Skyward Friday August 14th at or after 3pm. If you have not updated the app, it is suggested you uninstall then reinstall it before then JUST IN CASE you have any issues logging in.

SUPPLY LISTS can be found on the Mason Public School's website, on Steele's page, on the blue sidebar.

STEELE'S OPEN HOUSE is Monday, August 24th from 6-7pm. You are more than welcome to bring any supplies and drop them off during that time.

AUGUST LUNCH MENU for Steele is attached. Meals are FREE again this year. You can always find the calendars on the school's website. Meals are subject to change based on availability.

I know, I know- summer isn't even over yet and the school supplies are already out! If you are wondering what your student will need next year you can find the supply lists available on the Mason Public Schools website. On Steele's building page they are on the left hand side in the grey sidebar. On mobile, you may need to put your phone in landscape mode, or scroll almost to the bottom to find them. These lists have been recently updated as well! 38 more days until school starts.
