✨ STAFF SPOTLIGHT ✨ Mrs. Volkens is no stranger to the students at LBA! She subbed for us quite a bit last year, and she was so wonderful with our students and such a great fit with our team that we wanted to bring her on full time. This year, she will be our 7th & 8th Grade Language Arts teacher. Mrs. Volkens earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Temple Baptist College and brings 13 years of teaching experience. She and her husband, Dan, have two children, a teenager and an 11-year-old who attends LBA. Welcome, Mrs. Volkens! We’re so glad to have you officially joining the LBA team.

✨ STAFF SPOTLIGHT ✨ We are excited to welcome Mrs. Jenn Powers to our LBA front office team! Mrs. Powers brings 17 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant and Legal Administrative Assistant. After stepping away from her career to stay home and raise her children, she returned to the workforce two years ago as a virtual administrative assistant and is now joining LBA full-time. Mrs. Powers and her husband, Matt, have been married for 23 years and have six children and two grandchildren. Two of their children, Nick and Faith, attend LBA as a senior and sophomore this year. Mrs. Powers enjoys cooking, baking, music, and writing, and shares that she loves serving others with all her heart and for God’s glory.

✨ STAFF SPOTLIGHT ✨ We are excited to introduce Mrs. Jaime Wright, who joined our LBA front office team near the end of last school year! Mrs. Wright brings more than 25 years of customer service experience and 20 years of experience in business management, organizational leadership, and operations. We are grateful to have her experience and leadership serving our students, families, and staff in the front office. Mrs. Wright and her husband, Jeff, own a remodeling business and are the proud parents of two LBA students, Pierce and Coryn. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors and finding new adventures together. They also have a heart for ministry and enjoy encouraging, praying for, and supporting families through all seasons of life.

✨ STAFF SPOTLIGHT ✨ We are excited to formally introduce Mrs. Ashlie Benoit, our LBA school nurse. Mrs. Benoit joined our team during the second half of last school year and will continue caring for our students this year. Mrs. Benoit has been a registered nurse for 15 years, with experience in gastroenterology, oncology, and clinical nursing supervision. She earned her RN degree from Christ College of Nursing and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. Mrs. Benoit and her husband have been married for nine years. He serves as a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputy, and they have two daughters, including an incoming LBA third grader. Their family also includes Deacon, their German Shepherd! In her free time, Mrs. Benoit enjoys family time, roller skating, bike rides, and pool days.

✨ STAFF SPOTLIGHT ✨ We are excited to welcome Mr. Ryan Proffitt to the LBA family! Mr. Proffitt will serve as our new Junior High Principal and Social Studies teacher, providing dedicated leadership to our growing Junior High program in the Annex. Mr. Proffitt earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Miami University and his master’s degree in Sport Administration from Xavier University. He brings 20 years of experience in education, including 18 years in the classroom and two years in administration, serving in both public and private schools. Mr. Proffitt and his wife, Kristen, are pictured with their children.

✨ STAFF SPOTLIGHT ✨ We are excited to welcome Mrs. Natalie Head back to the Liberty Bible Academy family! Mrs. Head will be serving as our sixth grade teacher this year. Mrs. Head earned her bachelor’s degree in Education from Pensacola Christian College and brings 15 years of teaching experience, including three previous years at LBA. After spending much of her career in early childhood and lower elementary, she is excited for the opportunity to teach a new grade level. Mrs. Head and her husband have been married for 20 years and have two teenage children, along with two very spoiled dogs.

✨ STAFF SPOTLIGHT ✨Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Melissa Hargis to the LBA family! Mrs. Hargis will be joining our Kindergarten team this year. Mrs. Hargis earned her bachelor’s degree in Education from Mission University in Springfield, Missouri and brings seven years of experience in early childhood and elementary education. She and her husband, Steve, have been married for 24 years. Steve serves as a pastor at Redeeming Grace Church in Loveland. They have two sons, Caden and Lincoln, who both play collegiate baseball. We are excited to have Mrs. Hargis join our teaching team!

Mrs. Coats earned her bachelor’s degree in Education from West Coast Baptist College and brings three years of previous teaching experience to LBA. Mrs. Coats and her husband, Mr. Coats, who serves as our high school principal, are pictured with their children, Ashley and Ethan. We are excited to have Mrs. Coats join our teaching team!

✨ STAFF SPOTLIGHT ✨Please join us in welcoming Mr. Scott Collins to the LBA family! Mr. Collins will be teaching high school mathematics this year. Mr. Collins earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University before returning to Xavier University to earn his teaching license in grades 7 through 12 mathematics. Throughout his career, he has served in engineering, operations, and education, most recently teaching at Sycamore’s Aves Academy. On a personal note, we’d also like to congratulate Mr. Collins on his recent engagement to his lovely fiancée, Cara! 🎉
