Backpacks have arrived and staff is preparing for the new school year. These backpacks will go to all the sponsor children. Sponsor students are continually being measured for their new uniforms. Our staff is preparing hard to be ready for the new school year and the first day of school.

Thank you to all our sponsors and partners who understand the importance of having a generous heart. Over 2,000 times in the Bible God tells we are to be generous to the poor. James 2:17, faith without works is dead.

Over 900 of the poorest children in the Western Hemisphere will be able to attend school because of faithful people who love children. Thank you for putting your faith and love into action.

For some families in Haiti, these clay-based discs have become associated with the heartbreaking reality of extreme poverty and food insecurity.

Known in Haitian Creole as bonbon tè, meaning “earth cookies,” they are often made from clay, salt, and shortening or another type of fat. They provide little nutritional value, yet during times of severe hardship, some people have turned to them to cope with hunger.

While these “mud cookies” or “dirt cookies” have become one of the more striking images associated with poverty in Haiti, they are also a reminder that this is only one part of Haiti’s story.

Haiti is a country filled with beautiful communities, rich culture, resilient people, dedicated missionaries, churches, ministries, and families working every day toward a better future.

For Missionary Flights International, stories like these remind us why humanitarian assistance and long-term, sustainable solutions to hunger and poverty continue to matter.

Please pray for our village in Haiti. We received word today that the gangs came into the near town and tried to take over. The Resistance force held them off, but 2 of our children, from Gospel of Grace Academy Haiti, their father was killed trying to fight off the gangs.

John 15:13, "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends." This father was fighting for a better life for his children, his village, and his country. Please keep our 2 little ones and his wife in your prayers. Their lives were changed forever today. The Word tells us Jesus is close to the broken-hearted.

Even in all of this God IS STILL GOOD!
