The David and Joan Gibbs Science Scholarship was established to help support an MCHS student enrolled in a major university’s science, engineering or mathematics program. The United States has many outstanding universities with strong science programs, yet the US lags in students seeking science careers. With this scholarship we hope to encourage an outstanding MCHS graduate to pursue science training at one of these major institutions. The encouragement and support of the MCHS faculty given to David to seek the best education possible was instrumental in his career. We hope this scholarship can aid future generations of MCHS students achieve important scientific careers.
