A return visit ! Mashpee High School graduate from the Class of 2000 Evan Kingsley was in the class that was first to attend all four years at the new Mashpee High School as before 2000 Mashpee students attended Falmouth High -The students appeared in front of the Historic 1831 One Room Schoolhouse , as seen on the photo on the wall behind Evan. Evan moved from Mashpee and is now living in Tennessee He came yesterday and visited the One Room Schoolhouse.-July 2026

Nice visit today( July 24, 2026) from Little Milestones Summer School in Falmouth-The 5-8 year olds took part in a “day at school in the 1800s.” They ended the day writing with their quill pen and ink, on their slate boards and took part in a 19th century recess and found clues in a scavenger hunt .

Mashpee One Room Schoolhouse welcomed teachers from Texas in May who were visiting one room achoolhouse from around the country . We also welcomed all the students from the Quashnet Intermediate School during May and June

Opening day for the 2026 season is Monday. June 22 and Tuesday, June 23. Visit anytime from 11:00am to 2:00 pm . The schoolhouse will be open every Monday and Tuesday until October. Learn the Mashpee and Wampanoag history that took place within the walls of the schoolhouse. Take part in an early Mashpee school day , writing with your quill feather pen and ink and completing your work on your slate board.
Admission is free and all are welcome !

The Historic Mashpee 1831 One Room Schoolhouse has been busy in May, 2026 with five different grade 3 classes from the Quashnet Intermediate School and visits from teachers from Washington State and a group of seven teachers from Texas who are touring around the U.S. visiting one room schoolhouses.-After leaving Mashpee the Texas group was headed to the one room schoolhouse in Old Sturbridge Village and then onto York , Maine
