This week at Wushkeenune8ak Weekuw, elementary students looked at the history of Wampum belts, where wampum beads come from, how wampum beads were created then and how they are created today, how wampum belts hold histories and treaties nation to nation, and how they are constructed. Students then learned how to work with beads on a loom structure.
