Our MMS 8th grade students had an unforgettable educational experience in Washington D.C. this week that brought history, government, and civic responsibility to life. Students explored the National Mall and Tidal Basin, toured the U.S. Capitol and the Library of Congress, visited several Smithsonian museums, the Holocaust Museum, US Army Museum, and learned about the life and legacy of George Washington at Mount Vernon. One of the most meaningful moments of the trip was participating in a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, where students honored the service and sacrifice of America’s veterans. Throughout the trip, students gained a deeper appreciation for our nation’s history, government, and the people who have shaped our country.
