🍎 Meet Mrs. Melissa Duckett, our Teacher of the Week! 🍎

Mrs. Duckett is one of our wonderful Kindergarten teachers and is celebrating her 15th year in education! She loves helping our youngest learners build the skills and confidence they need as they begin their school journey.

When she isn’t at school, Mrs. Duckett enjoys spending time with a good book. 📚

This year, her goal is to meet each of her students right where they are and help them grow both academically and socially. Most of all, she wants to create a classroom where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and shine! ❤️

Here are three important reminders:

📧 Returning Student Registration
Watch your email for the Blount County Board of Education Returning Student Registration message. Please complete the Snapcode registration before Registration Day if possible.

📅 Registration Day
Friday, July 24
🕗 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

At least one parent should attend. Every Fairview student will receive a FREE Fairview T-shirt!

💻 Grades 3–5
Chromebook fee: $25 (cash or check), payable during Registration Day.

May 21st completed the 2025-2026 school year. For a few of our staff, it begins the next chapter … Retirement!!! Congratulations to Suzanne Costner, Dee Harner, Terry Roberts, Debbie Stinnett Green and Lisa Booth. We commend each of you for a job well done and please know you all will be greatly missed in the halls of Fairview Elementary School! Enjoy retirement!
