Irina V Younger is accepting new students of all levels and ages, including Pre-K and seniors for studying Piano, Music Theory, Accompaniment, and preparing for music auditions or contests. I also provide tutoring for college students on numerous music disciplines.

Summary

IVY Piano Studio was opened in 1996, shortly after I came to the United States. It didn't take long to come up with the name for my establishment: IVY are my initials :)

Before this studio, I was teaching for 16 years in Russia at the Music School for gifted children and performed a lot as an accompanist and as a soloist. I also was giving lectures and master classes in Music Theory and Music Literature. I've earned a college degree in Piano, Music Theory, and Music Literature from College of Music in the city of Novomoskovsk, Russia.

After moving to Maryville, I helped many students to fulfill their goals and inspirations in playing piano. My students successfully participated in numerous performances, competitions, and festivals. Several of them became professional musicians and educators.

I truly believe in students' success and work with each student individually, adjusting lesson plans accordingly to the progress of students.
At my studio, I have a large library of music and multiple teaching aides, music games, and software. I'm also the author of several teaching books, supplemental materials and quick visual guides.
And if you are wondering, yes, I'm teaching the famous Russian method of piano studies.

In later years here, I had to close my studio at home after my husband was getting ill. I decided to start a new career. The first step was to broaden my knowledge, and I've earned BS and MBA Degrees. For 10 years I had Management jobs, but had to retire due to my late husband's declining health.

I missed teaching piano since closing my studio 15 years ago and always wanted to do it again. Now it is time. I'm looking forward to helping you or your children to play the most marvelous instrument of all, the PIANO.

Lessons' costs

The first lesson is free.

1 time a week lessons:
40 min for children $30
1 hour for adults and intermediate and advanced level students $45.

And I discount my rates for siblings ($5 off the second and subsequent siblings).

Normally, students come to my place for lessons. A Zoom option is available, as well.
Teaching at your home is an option, too, with an additional $$ amount, depending on the distance.

26 years of using these homemade books resulting in publishing them. Book I is available in English and Russian; Book II is in English, but the Russian edition is cooking. Also, Books III and IV will follow. They exist in the "homemade form". I just need to create them in a professional way, suitable for print.
