At A Bit of Leaven Artisanal Bakery & School, June has already been full of two private group baking experiences 💜
Our first group was a lovely family and friend group on a Friday night after work to make and bake scrumptious poptarts!!
Our second group just finished this morning the two day simply sourdough workshop!! Both groups were filled with energy, great questions were asked and lots of learning… plus 8 delicate melt in your mouth poptarts or two sourdough loaves were made. We even added freshly milled, in the bakery, hard red winter wheat to the sourdough bread flour mixture!!
Thank you to both groups for scheduling, your kindness and positive fun attitudes!
It was my gift to be a part of your learning experience and guide your class!!

It’s a sourdough bread bake week at A Bit of Leaven Artisanal Bakery & School. May’s featured bread is freeze dried strawberries and white chocolate chips! The white chocolate adds just enough sweetness to make the strawberry flavor intensely delicious!! Yum!
If you have preordered loaves, please remember to pick up your loaves Wednesday at the bakery from 3:30-530.
Thank you, enjoy the pictures of yesterday’s 20 strawberry white chocolate loaves being crafted, baked today and a mix of 33 other sourdough loaves (porridge, toasted sesame, cran walnut, cran toasted almond, Kalamata olive with fresh rosemary, and simply sourdough) mixed, bulk fermented, shaped and in the fridge for a long overnight cold proof until they are baked a few hours before being picked up tomorrow afternoon!!
Super fresh and super yummy 😋 😁

At A Bit of Leaven Artisanal Bakery and School we have been crafting over 50 loaves of baked to order sourdough bread, this past week!
Double smoked cheddar cheese with fresh Poblano peppers was our featured bread of the month!
What I am hearing from customers is it is the best, a keeper, “it is a sandwich in a bread”, Yummy!!

Wow, what a fun family group who came out this morning to whip up some delectable Buttermilk Cranberry orange zest or double chocolate chip Scones at A Bit of Leaven Bakery and School!!
We also made a triple chocolate pistachio Italian biscotti! It is a chocolate lovers dream crunch cookie!
There was lots of laughter, conversation and learning. A perfect morning..

Another great class at A Bit of Leaven Bakery & School. This time it was a four hour buttermilk cranberry orange scones and double chocolate pistachio Italian Biscotti cookie class!! Double yum = Double the fun!! Lots of laughs, learning and new friends made during this perfect four hour afternoon class💜
We have another Saturday afternoon scones class for a family of seven in March!
Can’t wait😁
