MJHS students in the Fine Arts pathway had an opportunity to go behind the scenes at the Clayton Center for the Arts and discover careers that help bring a performing arts venue to life.
Students explored areas including stagecraft, set construction, lighting, sound, rigging, ticketing, box office operations, and the art gallery. They also experienced areas most visitors never get to see, including the orchestra pit and auditorium catwalk.
A special thank you to Christina Sayer and the entire Clayton Center for the Arts team for sharing their time, expertise, and passion with our students. It was inspiring to see how much they love what they do, and how much pride they have in their work. Their enthusiasm gave our students a firsthand look at what it means to turn a passion into a career and enlightened them about the opportunities that exist behind the scenes in the arts and entertainment industry.
