We KIN do anything.
And they did! While the 2026 KT Days has ended, the results of the hard work of our alumni and friends are long-lasting and immediately impactful for all who call College Hill home. We are honored to experience the dedication and commitment of our "KT'ers" and to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
As always, the week ended with a wrap up dinner featuring before and after photos of all the projects. Take a look here, and next time you see one of these volunteers, be sure to thank them for always striving to "do good on the largest possible scale!"

☀ Scots in Reno ☀
On Friday, June 26, join fellow Scots in the Reno and northern Sacramento area for an alumni reception hosted by Jenny Jett Erwin '68, member of the Maryville College Board of Directors. It will be a great opportunity to reminisce about times at MC and strengthen connections with Scots in the area.

It is difficult to describe the magic of KT Days to those who have yet to experience it, but the feeling was in the air during the bittersweet farewell dinner on Thursday, marking the end to another successful alumni return.
Project leaders went forward one by one before a room full of volunteers gathered at the Maryville College Downtown Center to recap all of the work they completed over the three day event.
There was laughter and the sort of good-natured teasing commentary that only exists among people who have known one another for decades and who have earned the right to poke fun at one another’s projects, mistakes and stories without ever diminishing the deep affection that sits beneath it all.
And behind it all stood Reggie Dailey, former director of the Maryville College Physical Plant and the longtime “Commander-in-Chief” of KT Days.
“A lot of these guys have done it for longer than I have. If you think about what we present them with, and how quickly they get out of the chaos and get a plan going and get things started, it’s amazing. Sometimes it’ll bring you to tears, just thinking how hard and how bought in they are to what we’re doing. I didn’t go to college here, but I’ve never seen the kind of devotion that Scots have to this place."
We want to thank these alums for their continuous devotion to Maryville College and the love they pour into these projects each year. We will see you next summer!

Out now! The latest FOCUS Magazine features the story of The Night Marauder: how a century-old cold case inspired an MC history professor's new book.
In preparing a new course titled “The History of Murder” in 2021, Dr. Nancy Locklin-Sofer stumbled upon a long-forgotten serial killer who had plagued East Tennessee in the 1920s. It’s now the subject of a new book coming in February 2027.
