The Alvin C. Baker '72 Harvest Craft Fair is an annual Homecoming tradition welcoming makers to share their crafts with our campus community. Organized by the Blount County Alumni Association board, the event (and bake sale!) benefits the BCAA Scholarship Endowment Fund, which provides scholarships to Blount County students attending Maryville College.

Are you a maker that would like to help our alumni community get a head start on holiday shopping? A few spots are still available! Visit the BCAA website to learn more and submit your application: https://www.mcblountalumni.com/events/harvest-craft-fair/vendor-portal

Ready to shop? Find the Craft Fair in the Alumni Gym on Saturday, October 24, 9am - 2:30pm.

Dolly Parton embodied what it means to be from East Tennessee and we are deeply saddened by her passing.

We hope to honor her legacy today and always, as a College proudly located in the Great Smoky Mountains. In ordering the College's most visible flag to half-mast, President Bryan F Coker said it best:

"I have ordered the flag above historic Anderson Hall to be flown at half-mast, in recognition of the passing of Dolly Parton (1946-2026). The benevolent spirit of Dolly can be found, seen, and felt throughout the hills, mountains, and hollers of East Tennessee – she was a beloved and cherished daughter of our region – a singer, songwriter, actress, businesswoman, philanthropist, and constant purveyor of wisdom and kindness. I encourage each of you to take a moment and consider Dolly’s legacy and indelible impact on our region and far beyond – we are each a little better because of Dolly."

Rest in peace, Dolly 💙

Nashville Scots turned Music City orange and garnet 🧡❤️

Last week, local alumni gathered with Maryville College President Dr. Bryan F Coker at Tailgate Brewery. It was a great evening for alumni from across generations (and maybe a few future Scots?) to celebrate their shared connection and love for MC!

Thanks to all the attending Scots and Dr. Coker for sharing updates from our alma mater.

Couldn't make this event? Be sure to follow Maryville College Alumni Association - Nashville Chapter to stay up to date on alumni opportunities in Middle Tennessee.
