Day 3 - 2026 Guatemala Medical Mission Trip - Today was a beautiful Guatemalan day that included for us first providing free medical care to about 70 patients in the mountain village, followed by lunch in the Central Park square, ice cream at Jalapa’s famous Elida’s, then we headed over to the community hospital where we able to donate medical equipment and supplies, and completed with a brief meeting with the mayor followed with a small evening party to celebrate our hard work so far this week. Thank you for following and thank you for all your contributions that helps buy medications and more for people truly in need and without many resources.

Day 2 - 2026 Guatemala Medical Mission Trip - Today we went to one of my favorite mountain villages called “Gracias Adios”. Our team yesterday were rose buds but today they blossomed to full roses (meaning they did an AMAZING JOB). We appreciate all the comments and come join us one of these years 😀

2026 Guatemala Medical Mission Trip - Day 1 - All 20 of our team made it in yesterday and did a GREAT job seeing just over 100 patients today in one of the mountain villages. One of the best moments was being able to give a wheelchair to a lady who can no longer walk - all thanks to YOU - the wonderful friends who help donate for all the medications and equipment. One of our students here in the trip came all the way from Poland where she goes to medical school. Lots more pictures to come in the next few days. Come join us next year 😀

Medical history…..

Pregnant women were looking for a medicine that soothes their nausea and gives them a peaceful sleep amid the busy noise of life.
Then the savior appeared: "Thalidomide."

A new medicine, elegant, white as peace, prescribed without a prescription, and sold without hesitation.
It is said to be so safe that children can eat it.
It has not been sufficiently tested, but pharmaceutical companies reassured doctors and people:
“Modern age medicine... With no side effects. "

And the dream begins

Pregnant woman in London breathes positive after a night of continuous vomiting...
And another one in Munich falls asleep for the first time without a sweat...
And thousands of women around the world smile without knowing that something dark is growing in their wombs.

And then came the due date...

But the first screams did not come as usual, but silence came.

A baby is born without arms,
And another one without legs,
And a little girl with incomplete fingers, like unfinished buds in the womb of nature.
Doctors are shocked, mothers are collapsing, and the community whispers:
"F**k it? genes ? Or is it nature's fault ? "

But the truth was uglier than that...
Truth was medicine in a neat box,
Behind him are companies that chose to profit over innocent lives.

In 1961, after the drug was directly linked to deformities, it began to be withdrawn from markets.
But the damage had already been done,
And more than 10,000 children in 46 countries have been pushed to life with drugged bodies,
And in memory of mothers carrying a sin they never committed.

"Thalidomide" in medical colleges today is being classed as a "scientific crime"
It became a symbol of what happens when medicine is sold without a conscience.

Some are still alive, with artificial arms and heavy hearts...
They walk amongst us, as living proof that medicine can kill when science is silent

An Australian man credited with saving more than 2 million babies through decades of regular blood and plasma donations has died at age 88.

Known as the “man with the golden arm,” James Harrison donated his blood and plasma 1,173 times, never missing an appointment for more than 60 years until he retired in 2018 at the age of 81.

Harrison, whose blood contained a rare antibody, died in his sleep on Feb. 17 at a nursing home in the Australian state of New South Wales, according to the Australian Red Cross Blood Service.

The antibody in Harrison’s blood was used to make the medication anti-D, which is given to pregnant women whose blood might attack their unborn babies. Without it, babies may develop hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn (HDFN), a blood disorder that can be fatal.
