***Class of 2024 Hall of Fame Induction***
Members of the 1981 State Championship Baseball Team were our final inductees into the Spoofhound Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday, Feb. 17, during a ceremony held at Maryville High School's Lee and Nina Schneider Performing Arts Center.
We had a whopping 11 team members and Head Coach John Sedler join us, and it was great fun to install them into the Spoofhound Athletics Hall of Fame!
Pictured are (front row, left to right): Maggie Barger (daughter of team member Dave Barger), Ben Swalley, Dick Peve, Dave Lawyer and Tracy Porter. (Back row, left to right): Jon Baldwin, Matt Olsen, Scott Walk, Ryan Wake, Tim Farquhar, Randy Wooten and John Sedler.
From humble beginnings to triumphant endings, the 1981 Spoofhound Baseball team’s journey was marked by resilience, determination, and an unwavering belief in themselves. Theirs is a story of overcoming adversity, of turning setbacks into opportunities, and of proving that with heart and determination, anything is possible. This team proved that sometimes the most unforgettable victories are born from the most unlikely circumstances.
