Heritage DECA Little World

Heritage DECA Little World Little World returns on December 1st, 2022, as the elves make their 37th appearance! Plan your visit We are delighted to see what our future holds!

Facebook and social media did not exist in the 27 years during which Little World operated in Blount County. Our method of promotion was focused on the reputation and history of the project, the entertainment value provided to children (and their parents) during the Christmas season, word of mouth and of course, the appearance of LW elves at area elementary schools. After six years of retirement,

Little World came out of retirement in 2013 and opened at Heritage High School, a brand-new and possibly, unusual location. It is our intention to use FB and social media to get the word out to the 3000+ former marketing students and now, their children, who have worked and have memories of this amazing project. History of Little World:
1979: Opened by Heritage Marketing students & Advisor Gail Bray

1985: Advisor Janice Livingston & Heritage DECA/Marketing continue the LW project at Foothills Mall.

2006: Following the 2006 Christmas season, Little World closed its doors.

2013: Heritage DECA/Marketing students and Advisor Janice Livingston resurrect Little World with a new location at Heritage High School and rebranding effort.

2015: Advisor Janice Livingston retires, Heritage Alum and former LW shopper, elf, and CEO (Chief Elf of Operations) Holly Burns assumes the role of advisor and continues the LW project with Heritage DECA/Marketing students.
