What a beautiful morning we had at our first Community Building Workshop — Rooted & Rising: Fall 2026, hosted by Gathering Company.

It was a beautiful group of women. Most of us didn’t know each other well, and some walked through the door not knowing anyone at all. That takes courage.

We barely made it to the topics I had prepared because we lingered in a conversation about loneliness versus belonging — and honestly, that felt priceless.

Sometimes the best parts of a gathering are the things you didn’t plan for.

As you reflect on our conversation, ask yourself:

What does belonging look and feel like for me?
Where do I feel most connected?
Where might I be experiencing loneliness?
What am I willing to do to cultivate deeper connection?

Thank you to every woman who showed up — especially those who walked in alone and took that brave first step.
