World of Wonders is a nonprofit child care center that has served Union County for over 30 years! We provide high quality early education for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years. For toddlers, making marks, scribbling, and coloring help strengthen the small muscles in their hands and fingers while building hand-eye coordination, important foundations for future writing. Working on one big masterpiece also gives children opportunities to practice sharing materials, making space for friends, and contributing their own ideas to something they create together.

At WOW, group projects include every child, with room to participate in their own way and at their own developmental level. Every scribble adds something special, and every child belongs.

At WOW, we believe in lifelong learning… not only for our children, but for all of us.

In 2024, I decided to take that belief a little further and go back to school. With the support of my family at home and my WOW family, I officially earned my Master of Business Administration, and the diploma finally arrived!

There were plenty of late nights and moments when I questioned why I had done this to myself, but I am incredibly proud that I finished. More importantly, what I learned has already helped me become a stronger leader and make better decisions for the future of an organization I care so deeply about.

Thank you to our staff, families, and Board for supporting and encouraging me throughout this journey. I am very grateful that I get to keep learning, growing, and putting that knowledge to work for WOW.

Our Explorers kicked off the first day of Pre-K with the beginning of a creative, multi-day project!

Led by the incredibly talented Ms. Bee and Ms. Katie, these projects are thoughtfully designed to bring several areas of learning together. Ms. Bee brings years of classroom experience and a degree in education, and both teachers know how to turn a creative idea into meaningful, hands-on learning.

Yesterday, the children colored the first part of their project. While coloring may look simple, it gives teachers valuable insight into each child’s pencil grasp and fine-motor development. It also strengthens the small muscles needed for writing and builds hand-eye coordination.

And this is only the beginning, we can’t wait to watch their project take shape over the next several days!

Once Upon a First Day…

Welcome to a brand-new school year at WOW! We are excited to welcome our new friends, our returning friends, and all the children who spent their summer growing and learning right here with us.

A great deal of planning, preparation, and thoughtful work has gone into this year. Our classrooms, curriculum, and programs have been updated around what our children need, what interests them, and the feedback shared by our teachers and families.

We can’t wait to see where this year’s story takes us. Here’s to new friendships, new discoveries, and a wonderful new chapter at WOW!

Our classrooms are ready for a brand-new school year! Each space is designed to provide a comfortable, welcoming, home-away-from-home atmosphere for both children and teachers.

Our classrooms are built around the interests of the children in them, and they won’t stay exactly like this all year. As the children grow, develop new skills, and discover new interests, their environments will change and grow right along with them. We can’t wait to see the learning, creativity, friendships, and adventures that fill these spaces this year!

Today was Fun-Day Saturday! Our staff came together to clean, organize, decorate, and prepare their classrooms for the start of a brand-new school year. A lot of work goes into creating spaces where children feel safe, comfortable, excited, and ready to learn, and our team poured so much care into every room. We can’t wait to welcome everyone on Monday and begin another wonderful year at WOW!
