Kindermusik with Miss Shelley

We're looking for a few more friends to join our Level 3 preschool classes! Imagine That classes are designed for active, energetic, enthusiastic, and imaginative children ages 3.5 to 5 years. Classes encourage socialization, sharing, and participating in group activities and since children attend the first 30 minutes of class without their grownup (as long as they are comfortable), they are also a great way to practice independence.

Make everyday home activities and chores easier and more fun with music! Baking cookies, eating cupcakes, blowing on hot cross buns, wiggling like jelly, going grocery shopping and making tea are all represented in familiar as well as new songs. Move, play, and sing together in developmentally appropriate activities created just for 1.5 to 3.5-year-olds. Capture the familiar and new moments of the day and learn how music can impact your toddler.

Classes start soon so I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself!

Hello, I’m Miss Laura! I am a mom of three (2 Kindermusik Kids and a pandemic baby) and I’m thrilled to be teaching Kindermusik in Marysville. Even though this is my first year as a Kindermusik Teacher, I have been working with children and families in North Snohomish County for the last 15 years as a librarian at the Marysville and Arlington Libraries. You may recognize me from a storytime, a teen program or a visit to the library to pick out books! I received my BA in Music and German from Pacific University in Oregon and my Masters in Library Science from Indiana University. I play Piano and Oboe, but these days I mostly just sing with my kids. Kindermusik combines so many of my favorite things--music, early literacy, and language development. It is my hope that Kindermusik classes give you and your little one a love of music, a love of books, and a few good friends.

Kiddos in Imagine That (3.5-5.5 years old) can attend without their grownup (as long as they are comfortable). It's a great way to practice independence before preschool or kindergarten. Grownups join us for the last 10 minutes of class so they won't miss out on all the fun!
