Marysville Cooperative Preschool Our school offers a shared learning experience for children AND their grown-ups. Social interaction, understanding others and cooperation are important skills.

As parents, we can demonstrate and foster these traits by participating in a cooperative preschool. We believe that children and their parents must be accepted as they are, and that every child and parent makes a special contribution according to his or her own needs, interests and abilities.

🎨 Learning Through Play: ART! 🖌️✨

To little ones, it might feel like they’re just painting, coloring and creating but there’s so much learning happening along the way!

When children create art, they’re experimenting with colors, strengthening the fine motor skills they’ll use for writing, discovering cause and effect, expressing their own ideas, and building confidence in their creativity. 💛

And when they create alongside friends, they’re practicing sharing, taking turns and learning from one another too!

At MCP, we believe some of the best learning happens through doing, exploring and PLAYING. 🫶

So… what does “play-based learning” actually mean? 🧩🎨🧱

At MCP, we believe some of the most meaningful learning happens through play. 💛

Play-based learning builds on children’s natural curiosity and gives them opportunities to learn through hands-on exploration, creativity, movement, imagination and connection. And while it may sometimes look like children are “just playing,” there’s intention behind the environment, activities and opportunities our teachers provide.

While they’re building, pretending, creating, experimenting and exploring, children are developing skills like problem-solving, communication, early math and literacy, fine and gross motor skills, independence, creativity, cooperation and emotional growth — often without even realizing how much they’re learning!

Over the next several weeks, we’ll be taking you inside the different learning areas at MCP to show you what’s really happening through play! From art, blocks and STEM to sensory play, dramatic play, literacy, fine motor activities, manipulatives, circle time and more. 🖍️✨

Because at MCP, play and learning go hand in hand. 💛

We still have space available in our 3s class for families looking for a fun, play-based preschool experience with a community for grown-ups too! 🫶

What a great first week at MCP! 💛

Our classroom and playground were full of exploring, creating, playing, learning, and making new connections as our preschoolers settled into a brand-new school year. 🎨📚🛝

We loved welcoming both new and returning families into our preschool community and watching our kiddos begin to find their routines, their favorite spaces, and new friends. 🥰

Here’s to a year full of big imaginations, new friendships, lots of playing, and so much learning and growing together. 💛🌈

Our 2026–27 school year is officially underway, but there’s still time to join us! 🍎✨

We still have 5 openings in our 3s class for families looking for a fun, play-based preschool experience where kiddos can explore, create, build friendships, and learn through play.

Led by our wonderful 3s teacher, Ms. Amanda, our classroom gives children plenty of opportunities for hands-on learning, creativity, social connection, and simply getting to be little. 🎨📚

And at MCP, preschool is for grown-ups too! Our cooperative model gives families the opportunity to be part of their child’s preschool experience while getting to know and build community with other local families. 💛

🍎 Today kicks off our first week of school at MCP! 💛

We’re so excited to officially begin the 2026–2027 school year and welcome all of our MCP families — both those returning and those joining our community for the very first time!

With our staggered start, our classrooms will be filling up throughout the week with new friends, familiar faces, lots of play, and all the excitement that comes with the beginning of a new school year. 🎨📚

We can’t wait to watch our kiddos learn, explore, build friendships, and grow together — and to share another year of community with the families who make MCP so special. 💛

🚒🚜 What a fun day at Marysville Touch-A-Truck! 💛

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hi, learn a little more about MCP, and spend some time with us today! We loved seeing so many kiddos get creative decorating their own little cars and then putting them to the test on our race track. 🏎️🎨

It was such a great day getting out into the community, meeting new families, and seeing so many familiar faces too. We’re so glad we got to be part of the fun! 💛
