Congratulations Sahana!

America's Distinguished Young Women shows off their scholastic achievements. The CLASS OF 2026 had an average GPA of 4.315; an average ACT score of 30; an average SAT score of 1430; 9 Valedictorians; and 5 National Merit Finalists.

A glimpse into the whirlwind week of the National Program in Mobile, Alabama. Sahana met 49 other outstanding women from every state and spent almost two weeks exploring the city, doing community outreach, rehearsing and having fun! It all culminated with a a strong showing in every category of competition: scholastics, interview, talent, self expression and fitness. We are proud of her hard work earning overall 2nd runner-up honors and representing Ohio with grace and poise under pressure! She is returning to Ohio with $16,000 in scholarships plus her winnings from our Ohio program to help her fund her college education at Cornell University, where she will attend this fall. Congratulations Sahana!

The following young women received scholastics awards during the second night of preliminaries at the 69th America’s Distinguished Young Women National Finals. The $1,000 scholarships each were presented to five of the state representatives recieiving the highest scores based on high school academic transcript, test scores and academic activities. They were: Iris Yang from Rhode Island, Vanessa Nguyen from South Carolina, Sophia Campbell from Maryland, Sahana Srikanth from Ohio, and Sophia Zhang from Colorado.
