Are you your own worst enemy Mama?
If you’re like most women, the answer is likely yes.😳
I hear SO much toxic self-talk from other mamas, which completely breaks my heart.
It literally serves NO purpose, except to create guilt and shame.
That’s why your challenge for today is to write down all of that trash talk and then apply the reframe (one of my favorite tools!) to it.

Body Appreciation Week starts today!

It’s time to stop the hating and start appreciating!
Today I’m sharing my personal body story and, I’m not gonna lie, it was tougher than I thought. I even choked up a little.
However, I’m glad I did it and hope to inspire you to create your own body story.
Your challenge for Day 1 is to do just that- come up with your personal body story. You don’t have to make a video like I did (although bonus points of you do!), but make sure to at least write it down.

It's Body Appreciation Week!
Have you ever had a time that you felt like hiding due to your body?
I never want that to happen again.
Because you deserve SO👏MUCH👏MORE👏
👉You deserve to be seen.
👉You deserve to have fun with your family in public.
👉You deserve to be front and center in a family photo, instead of hanging on the side or behind the lens.
Keep an eye out for daily videos (when my internet is actually working again) and your daily challenges for the week.

Let’s talk about value.
A person’s value shouldn’t be based on their size or shape.
However, unfortunately, people in larger bodies are typically marginalized and made to feel LESS THAN.
Take these two versions of myself- 30 years apart from each other.
A lot can happen in 30 years.
Marriage.
Two pregnancies.
Two degrees from higher education.
Exhaustion, stress, anxiety.
Hormone changes.
Devastating loss and grief.
Several moves.
Job changes.
Career changes.
Travel.
And with all of that, I ask: Does one version of me have more or less VALUE than the other?
I would like to think that BOTH versions deserve respect and love from others and, especially, themselves.
Yet, most moms that I talk to don’t value themselves in their current bodies.
They think they need to restrict, manipulate, punish and shame themselves into a smaller body.
That’s why Body Appreciation Week is SO essential.
So that you can learn to value and accept yourself as you are NOW.

Thankful Thursday is back!
With all of the crap going on in the world around us, it can be tough to remember gratitude.
👉Women's reproductive rights are being taken away.
👉Gun violence continues.
👉Inflation is on the rise.
And I could go on and on and on.
However, that's why we need to practice gratitude more than ever.
Because even in the darkest of times, there's always something to be thankful for.
Even if it's just that you were able to get out of bed.
