My name is Cassie Nickels and I've been working in Early Childhood since 1997. I have my Master's Degrees in Educational Leadership and Early Childhood Education. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I am the mother to twins and am blessed with their smiles and giggles every day! I absolutely love working with children and educators; it's been a passion of mine for decades :)

Happy expansion opening day AND happy first day of summer camp! 🎉🏡☀️

This expansion represents so much more than additional space. It reflects the growth of our Learning Adventures family, our commitment to providing exceptional early childhood education, and our dedication to creating even more opportunities for children to learn, play, explore, and grow.

As we open the doors to our newly expanded space, we want to thank our incredible families, staff, and community for your continued support. Your trust, encouragement, and belief in our vision have made this milestone possible.

Just a few reminders:
When we have a field trip coming in, please make sure the kiddos arrive minimally 15 minutes before the time on the calendar.
Example: Tuesday June 16th - Magician is at 9:30am - Please make sure your child is dropped off by 9:15am

When we have a Water Day, please make sure the kiddos bring in the Water bag you are provided with and include the following each week:
* Water Shoes, this is not flip flops. The kids slip and fall in flip flops.
* Bathing Suit
* Towel
*Swim diaper if applicable
Label everything with their first names and last initial :)

Hello! My name is Miss. Lindsay, and I am the Lead Preschool Teacher here at Learning Adventures Preschool! I have been working with children since 2020 and I have been apart of LAPS team since May 2024. I am very passionate about helping children learn, grow, thrive and of course to have fun! I am currently a student at Central Michigan University, working toward my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing soccer and golf, and watching movies and TV shows. Hello, my name is Nicole. I am a dedicated wife and proud mother of two children — a 14-year-old daughter who loves art and a 12-year-old son who is passionate about sports. I also have two dogs and one cat. I love watching baseball, rock hunting, and spending my free time up north with my family.
I worked in the Early Childhood Special Education program at Yale Public Schools for the past nine years before coming to LAPS. During that time, I supported and cared for students with dedication and compassion.

Hi I’m Ms. Abbie and I am the lead teacher of our Young Preschool room! I have been working for Learning Adventures for almost 2 years now and I love seeing the children grow and thrive. I have been working with kids since I was 19 with helping at Morton Elementary and continued to work as a nanny and substitute teacher after that. All About Ms. Danielle - Discovery Toddlers Lead

Hi! I’m Danielle, 37, Lead teacher of the Older Toddler class here at Learning Adventures. I have worked here for 2.5 years now and have loved every moment ! Prior to coming here, I was a home care aid for 10+ years, took some time off to stay at home with my youngest, and ultimately decided to make the move to childcare! I completed my CDA for infants/toddler in 2024💜
I am a mom to two amazing kids. My son is 14, my daughter is 8.
In my free time I like to hang out with my kids. We like trying new artsy locations (if you have any cool spots, let me know!) and going on small adventures. My kids and I love looking for rocks and beach glass while camping all summer long!

Previously, I worked in the ABA field for 4½ years, working one-on-one with special needs children. I loved teaching children new skills and watching them become more independent. As the oldest of five siblings, I have been around children my entire life.

All About Ms. Stephanie - Little Sprouts Lead

Hello! I am Ms. Stephanie! I am extremely excited that I have found myself back in the classroom after being a stay at home mom with my daughter Millie who is now in school. I grew up and have all of my family in the state of Colorado, GO BRONCOS! I fell in love with childcare when I relocated here to Michigan back in 2016, GO LIONS! I met my husband who is a Michigan native while I was going to school for my Associates Degree in the state of Kansas, GO CHIEFS! I have always had a passion for caring for children and being in a classroom although elementary teaching never caught my heart childcare most definitely did! Early Education is a passion and I cannot see myself anywhere else. I am extremely honored to be a part of the Learning Adventures team and I am thankful I have the pleasure of being your child’s teacher and being able to watch them grow with you. Welcome!!
