What an amazing National Tournament!

•Mya Harris was the NSDA 1st Runner-Up NATIONAL STUDENT OF THE YEAR.

•Bryant Ewing advanced to the TOP 60 in the nation in Original Oratory.

•Jailah Broadway, Bell Tucci, and Mya Harris closed out their high school speech & debate careers in spectacular fashion.

The season is officially over, and was truly !!

Congrats to everyone who competed at . It was a really special awards ceremony for and . First, senior Mya Harris was voted Eastern Missouri Student of the Year!

Not only that, but one of our coaches, Lance Allen, was surprised when he was selected as Eastern Missouri Assistant Coach of the Year and his parents were secretly invited to the Zoom ceremony!

Our head coach Jennifer Raymond was humbled to be recognized as Coach of the Year, & we were all so honored to be mentioned w amazing Communicator of the Year, Dr. Alex Garza, leader of the St. Louis COVID Task Force, who inspired us w a speech abt authentic communication.

All of this was BEFORE we had a chance to congratulate our National Qualifiers:
• Bryant Ewing, District Champ in Original Oratory
• Bell Tucci in US Extemp
• Jailah Broadway & Mya Harris in Public Forum Debate
Also, Anna de Garcia & Bell were quarterfinalists in PF.

Thank you to for such a wonderful night. We are proud to be part of the Eastern Missouri debate community and are excited about !!
