Here at Watkins's Little Wonders LLC, we mainly follow the play-based learning style. In play-based learning programs, our teaching opportunities are reinforced based on what type of activities the children are engaging in at that moment. For example, if the children are playing with blocks, I will get on the floor with the children and use the blocks to teach colors, shapes, counting, sorting, and so much more. Additionally, I provide a monthly newsletter to show what we focus on each month. Take a look at the September's Newsletter I created to learn more about what we will be learning about this month!

Today we used playdough to learn about the shapes, the color blue, how to roll/flatten a ball, and how to use our imagination.

We attempted to make a maze out of playdough. This was a wonderful experiment because we first tried to use a ball made out playdough, but it would stick to the rest of the playdough. Second, we tried to use a ball made out of aluminum foil, but the pointy parts would get stuck to the playdough. Lastly, we tried painter's tape and it rolled! Try it out at home with your kiddos and have fun doing it! It's ok to make mistakes because we learn from them too! 😊🥰🎊🎉
