We had to put our beloved Slater down yesterday and it was so difficult! He has been the official greeter to visitors at our farm for many years! He formed deep attachments to our mares, even trying to jump out of his stall to get to Abby in the ring because she was too far away! He had a puppy dog personality and was one in a million.
Some how he managed to break his jawbone and developed an infection we could not treat effectively. The vet said it would not mend, even with surgery. So thus the difficult, heart breaking decision. Lots of tears from his people and an empty spot in our hearts today. It comforts me to know he is in heaven with all of his dear friends!

Everyone, please read and share!!! The California fires have resulted in hundreds of horses and animals in need of supplies. Alina Stasik will be parking her fivehorse trailer at Jones feed and tack store on lone mountain road in hopes of filling it with hay, cat food and dog food and other needed supplies. The trailer will be there from noon today(Friday) until close or until its full.
What you can do to help? Call Jones. (+1 (702) 645-1992) or go directly to the store and order Hay or other supplies to be put in the trailer! Anything helps and unfortunately, we don’t see any other organizations doing it here in Las Vegas! So before she heads to LA to help with her trailer it would be amazing if we could fill it up with supplies for the animals in need!
The plan is to drop off the supplies at Los Angeles Equestrian Center or if there’s a facility in more need at the time it is filled! Alina and Gladius will be documenting everything through Facebook and Instagram so everyone can see where their money is going! Thank you all for taking time to read and please share!
